1 Stabbed To Death, 1 Wounded In Possible Road Rage Incident In Silver Lake

SILVER LAKE (CBSLA.com) — A passenger in an SUV was stabbed to death and the vehicle driver's hands were slashed in an attack possibly sparked by road rage in the Silver Lake area.

The bloodied motorist flagged down officers about 7 p.m. Saturday near Hoover Street and Sunset Boulevard, and reported the suspect as a white male in a black SUV, said Sgt. Frank Gonzalez of the LAPD's Northeast station.

The driver and passenger were rushed to County-USC Medical Center, where the passenger died from his wounds and the driver was treated for stab wounds to his hands, Gonzalez said.

"It's a possible road rage incident," he said. "But that has yet to be determined. There is still some discussion on whether they (the suspect and victims) knew each other."
