1 Reported Dead After Fire At 2-Story Home In Temple City

TEMPLE CITY (CBSLA.com) — One person was reported dead after a fire at a two-story home in Temple City.

The fire erupted at the large building in the 6100 block of Golden West on Monday evening.

When firefighters arrived, flames and smoke were visible.

"Firefighters were hampered by bars on the windows and extreme pack-rat conditions," reported SKY9's Stu Mundel. "They were doing searches on both of those floors. Sadly, they did find a victim on the second-floor."

The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death was not immediately known.

No further information was available.
