$1 Million Scratcher Sold In Hawthorne

HAWTHORNE (CBSLA.com) —   Good news: a $1 million winning scratcher was sold in Hawthorne.

Bad news: You're not Donald Lewis.

The game? the $10 California Millionaires Club Scratcher and Lewis was lucky enough to land one of the big winners.

Lewis purchased his scratcher at Ted's Donuts (14102 Hawthorne Boulevard). The store will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the life-altering prize.

According to the California Lottery, California Millionaires Club has more than $125 million in cash prizes and more than $35 million in prizes from $50 to $500.

The Lottery says three of the nine $1 million prizes have been claimed. There are still 39 tickets worth $10,000, 82 worth $5,000 and nearly 6,000 worth $1,000 each left in play.
