1 Dead, Several Injured In Irvine Hit-And-Run Involving 3 Vehicles

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say one person has died and several others were injured in a hit-and-run crash involving three vehicles in Irvine.

The Orange County Fire Authority said the accident unfolded Wednesday evening at Alton Parkway near the cross of Irvine Boulevard.

Of the injured, two were identified as adults, while two were described as children. The deceased was also described as an adult.

The four survivors were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision.

"The driver of the third vehicle involved in this crash fled on foot," reported Sky 9's Stu Mundel. "Irvine P.D. are out here also. They're searching commercial buildings in the area."

Mundel said officers have brought in police dogs to assist in their search.
