1 Killed In San Bernardino Smoke Shop Shooting

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — A 24-year-old man has died Saturday as result of injuries he sustained in an early morning shooting.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department, officers were sent to investigate a possible shooting at a smoke shop and marijuana dispensary just before 4 a.m. in the 4200 block of North Sierra Way.

Officers said the shop was closed at the time, however, they believe the victim lived there.

Once on scene, authorities said they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen area.

He was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, however, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

According to police, the motive for the shooting is still being investigated as it has been the focus of recent enforcement activities.

At this time, there is no description of the suspect.

The victim's identity is being held pending family notification.
