Man Killed In Plane Crash Near Big Bear

BIG BEAR (CBSLA.com) — A plane crash killed a man Monday in the San Bernardino Mountains.

The plane took off from Big Bear airport around 11 a.m. and crashed shortly after.

It was found near Grout Bay Campground in Fawnskin, the San Bernardino County Fire Department said.

The solo occupant of the plane was found dead on the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified. The cause of the crash was under investigation.

On Thursday, three people suffered moderate injuries in another plane crash near Big Bear Lake.
