1 killed in Garden Grove freeway crash

One person died in a traffic crash Monday in Garden Grove, officers said.

The fatal crash happened just before 5 p.m. on the Garden Grove Freeway at Brookhurst Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The identity of the victim has not been released. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
