1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Corona Trucking Company Explosion

CORONA (AP) — An explosion at a Corona trucking company has killed one man and sent another to the hospital.

Corona police Sgt. Kim Velasco says the blast occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at National Distribution Services.

Velasco says it appears the explosion occurred while a welder was working on a petroleum tanker truck.

The blast blew a hole in the roof of the building, but didn't cause a fire.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene and a second worker was taken to a hospital, but there's no word on his condition. No one else was hurt.

The blast remains under investigation.
