1 Dead In Hemet Double Shooting

HEMET (CBSLA.com) — At least one person was killed early Friday in a double shooting in Hemet.

The Hemet Police Department said it was conducting an active shooting investigation near the intersection of Acacia Avenue and Gilbert Street that began at about 12:40 a.m.

One person, believed to be a 16-year-old boy, was found with a gunshot wound to the face in a backyard in the 200 block of South Western Avenue.

A second person was found dead in an aqueduct south of Acacia and Western.
