1 Dead, 6 Injured In SUV Rollover Crash Possibly Caused By Alcohol Or Drugs

PERRIS (CBSLA.com)  —   One man died and six people were hospitalized Sunday in a SUV rollover crash in Perris.

The crash was reported at about 12:20 p.m. at East San Jacinto Avenue and Murrieta Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

All seven victims were taken to a hospital, where one man was declared dead, Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Armando Munoz said.

Drugs and alcohol appeared to play a role in the crash, Munoz said.

It was not revealed if the deceased was the driver or a passenger.

Authorities said one of the injured was in critical condition. The other five had non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
