KOREATOWN (CBSLA.com) — One pedestrian was killed and at least two others seriously injured Monday in a crash in Koreatown.

The accident happened at 6:39 a.m. in the 4000 block of Beverly Boulevard at Normandie Avenue, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The driver of a white pickup truck was traveling east on Beverly Boulevard when it ran a red light and collided with a grey Toyota Camry before propelling onto a nearby sidewalk and striking three pedestrians.

The Camry then hit a BMW, which suffered minor damage.

One male pedestrian was declared dead at the scene, while the two surviving victims, a male and female, were transported with serious injuries to County-USC Medical Center.

The driver of the truck, described as an Hispanic man wearing black pants and a red shirt, fled the scene on foot and is wanted for felony hit-and-run, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
