Man Shot To Death While Leaving Ventura County Restaurant; 2nd Person Wounded

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say an investigation is underway into a double shooting in Ventura County that left one person dead, and a second wounded.

Investigators say the first victim, described as a 27-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 2300 block of Alessandro Drive.

That person was found near the driveway to the Golden China Restaurant, and was pronounced dead. According to Ventura police, he was leaving the restaurant when he was shot to dead.

At the same time, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a second gunshot wound victim, described as a 30-year-old man, was dropped off at a nearby hospital.

At this time, it is believed that both victims were at the restaurant together.

No further details were immediately available as the investigation is ongoing.
