Fire near 105 and 605 Freeways in Norwalk prompts closures

The Los Angeles County Fire Department is battling a large fire next to the 105 and 605 Freeways in Norwalk.

The California Highway Patrol has shut down the 105 and 605 transition roads.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the fire began at a homeless encampment.

Here are the roads and on-ramps that the California Highway Patrol has closed as crews battle this fire:

  • Southbound 605 to westbound 105 transition road 
  • Hoxie Avenue on-ramp to the westbound 105
  • Imperial Highway on-ramp to westbound 105
