Teen Shot And Killed In Vacaville

VACAVILLE (CW31) - Vacaville police are investigating a shooting overnight that left a teenager dead.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the Canyon Creek complex on Aegean Way near Shasta Way, just north of Elmira Road.

Police say a witness reported hearing a gunshot. Police then found a male victim in the bed of a pickup truck with a gunshot wound to the head.

"We were laying in bed with our grandson and we heard a shot, and then my husband and my brother and I came running outside to look at our vehicles and there was a guy sitting in the white truck. Then all of a sudden, the cops swarmed him and went to his truck and the paramedics came. Woo, he got shot," said a resident at the complex.

The witnesses say they have never seen the truck in their area.

Streets around the complex are sealed off while the investigation continues.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
