Sued Over Yelp Review

Lot of people check Yelp to find out about a business before they give they hand over money for goods and services, but one Midtown Manhattan business owner threatened to sue over a bad review on Yelp, CBS New York reports.

Reporter Sonia Rincon says Matthew Brand saw the great reviews on Yelp for Ron Gordon Watch Repair, so he decided to take his watches there for repair. But he wasn't thrilled with the service and left his comments on Yelp, along with two stars, saying the shop couldn't repair the watches. He says another shop was able to do so onsite.

But to Brand's surprise, he received a letter from Gordon's attorney, asking him to take down the review or face a defamation lawsuit.
