Stephen Amell Recites An Adorably Imperfect 'Arrow' Intro At Comic-Con

During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014, a fan asked Stephen Amell, "if it's not too much," if he'd recite the intro monologue from "Arrow". He also commented his approval of Roy Harper and Thea "Speedy" Queen as a couple.

Amell grants the request with an apprehensive, "okay." His off the cuff performance isn't perfect, but you have to cut him some slack. The writers tweaked the intro from season one to two.

Amell's Comic-Con read: "My name is Oliver Queen *thunderous applause* for five years I was stranded on an island with only one goal ... survive. Now I will return to Starling City to fulfill my father's dying wish and use the list of names he left me to bring down those who are poisoning my city. But to do this I can't be the ... (looks off-screen for help with the line) killer I once was. To honor my friend's memory I must be someone else. I must be something else. Previously on 'Arrow'."

That "previously" bit put it over the top.

For reference, here are the exact intros from each season.

Season 1: "My name is Oliver Queen. For five years I was stranded on an island with only one goal: survive. Now I will fulfill my father's dying wish. To use the list of names he left me and bring down those who are poisoning my city. To do this, I must become someone else. I must become.. something else."

Season 2: "My name is Oliver Queen. After five years on a hellish island, I have come home with only one goal: to save my city. But to do so, I can't be the killer I once was. To honor my friend's memory, I must be someone else. I must be... something else."
