Rocklin Man Surrenders After Hours-Long Standoff With Police

ROCKLIN (CBS13) - Police have taken a man into custody who was barricaded inside of a Rocklin home for hours on Tuesday morning.

The incident began at around 2:30 a.m. A man was reportedly inside his home in the 6300 block of Galaxy Way who was under the influence of alcohol and had access to weapons and body armor. The man's wife made the call to 911.

The woman and children were able to safely get out of the home and police negotiated with the man. He finally surrendered at around 8 a.m.

Nearby homes were advised to shelter in place.
