New Vegetation Fire Threatens Amador County Structures

AMADOR COUNTY (CBS13) -- A fast-burning fire was threatening structures in the Amador County community of Fiddletown. The fire is approximately 40 acres and was 15% contained Sunday afternoon.

Evacuations were in place for Bridgepoint School Road and Tyler Road.

Just before noon Sunday, Cal Fire responded to the new vegetation fire off Lawrence Road. Additional air and ground resources have been ordered.

The vegetation fire was just west of the Caldor Fire that started in El Dorado County three weeks ago.
