Mammogram or Not?

A recent study found that more than half of women surveyed who have not had a mammogram, admitted they do not plan to have a mammogram in the near future. The results are disturbing, given an estimated 230,000 new breast cancer cases will be diagnosed in 2016. The study of women over 40, commissioned by Dignity Health, confirms that misconceptions about mammograms continue to influence a woman's decision to schedule an appointment for a breast cancer screening.
