Modesto Woman's Death Being Treated As Homicide

MODESTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed Monday morning.

The 34-year-old woman was found injured near 9th and I streets in Modesto around 4:30 a.m., but officers believe she was initially injured in the area of Kerr Avenue and Yosemite Boulevard.

Police say some type of violent crime happened in that area at around 5 a.m.

The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
