STEM Event
IThe invention, science fiction, environmental innovation, and engineering: all this and more can be found at the 6th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or STEM, Expo. The event is geared to encouraging students to explore these subjects through their own projects as well get the chance to see what real life jobs are out there for them in these fields. The event displays local student-generated work from grades 3-12.

Fishing Tournament
Every first Saturday in March at Oak Grove Regional Park is the annual fishing derby named after the late Bob Mcmillen, an S.J. County Parks employee and an avid fisherman. About 2,500 pounds of rainbow trout are stocked into the lake, so you are sure to catch a trophy size fish! Heather Brent is there checking it out and finding out how you can too!

It's the 58th annual Junior Aid Rummage sale, hosted by the Junior League of San Joaquin County an organization of 250+ women who are dedicated to improving our community! Science Olympiad
The 30th Annual San Joaquin County Regional Science Olympiad consists of rigorous academic competitions following the format of board games, TV shows, and athletic games. Events cover the range of scientific disciplines and include Launch Glider, Bottle Rocket, Mission Possible, Scrambler, Robot Arm, Electric Vehicle, Bridge Building, and more. Middle school students compete in the B Division. High schools compete in the C Division. Heather Brent is there getting a glimpse at some of the events!

Davisville 2013
This evening the Veteran's Memorial Theatre in Davis is premiering one of its most-anticipated documentaries. "Davisville 2013" is a documentary film that records the immediate aftermath of a brutal 2013 attack on Davis resident and long-distance runner Lawrence "Mikey" Partida by a 19-year-old Davis man, son of a prominent local family. The attack left Partida gravely injured skull fractures, hospitalized for two weeks, and facing months of physical and psychological therapy.

Harlem Dreams
"Harlem Dreams" is an exhibition show basketball team that tours all over the world. Every show includes incredible athleticism, entertainment, and comedy. Harold "Lefty" Williams and some others join us today to discuss their time with the trotters! Lefty is also going to talk about being the 1st left-handed showman in Globetrotter history. Today the Front Street Animal Shelter is hosting a grand opening for their new satellite adoption center at the Petco across from Arden Mall! Front Street will be offering FREE puppy and kitten adoptions as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony! This is a HUGE deal for Front Street who is always striving to give animals a place to call home.
