Blight crew finds '46 Chevy at former Flint gas station

FLINT, Mich. (AP) — A crew removing trees from a blighted property in Flint found a treasure: a 1946 Chevrolet.

TV station WNEM says the car was abandoned with trees growing around it. A tag indicates that it was made in Flint at Fisher Body.

Neighbors say the property has been the site of many businesses over the years, including a gas station. Chad Schlosser of the Mott Park Blight Squad says the car is "by far the greatest thing" they've found on cleanups.

He says they'll try to track down the car's owner or find someone who might want to restore the old Chevy.
