Young Man Charged In Fatal Stabbings Of Grandfather, Uncle

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ/AP) - A 20-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbings of his grandfather and uncle in suburban Detroit.

A day after the attack, the young man's grandmother was in a hospital Tuesday with her own stab wounds.

Marcus Kragness appeared in court by video from jail and expressed surprise that he was denied bond. A defense attorney hasn't been assigned yet.

On Monday, police were dispatched to what was called in by the grandmother as a domestic violence incident the 39000 of Lea Court.

On arrival officers found a 79 year-old man dead from stab wounds. A 44 year-old man and 71-year-old old woman also had suffered significant stab wounds. The 44-year-old also later died, police said, while the 71-year-old is in critical condition at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.

The victims are 79-year-old Jerome Pastuszak and 44-year-old Mark Pastuszak.
