(CBS DETROIT) - Wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr., who has spent the last two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, is returning to the Detroit Lions.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the one-year deal for $3 million comes with incentives that can increase it to $5 million. The 33-year-old played for the team from 2016 to 2020.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Jones posted footage of his past career with the Lions, adding "Back and I'm still buzzin'" and further confirming that he was returning to the Motor City.

During his time with the Jaguars, Jones made 119 catches for 1,361 yards and seven touchdowns.

Jones' return is a continued reconstruction of the Lions in the last few weeks, such as adding C.J. Gardner-Johnson, defensive end John Cominsky, cornerbacks Emmanuel Moseley and Cam Sutton, and running back David Montgomery.

In midst of adding to the team, it was announced that running back Jamaal Williams was leaving Detroit and was signing with the New Orleans Saints.

The city of Detroit is also gearing up to host the 2024 NFL Draft. Visit Detroit and the NFL announced it will happen April 25-27, 2024, in the area around Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza.
