Woman's Nude Body Found Near Chandler Park On Detroit's East Side
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have more questions than answers after a woman was found dead near Chandler Park on Detroit's east side.
The woman was discovered around 7:50 a.m. Tuesday lying near the curb of the roadway on Malcolm Street between Hern and Olga streets, near I-94 and Connor.
Police say the woman appears to have suffered trauma to her head and body, which was completely naked. An autopsy is expected to reveal a cause of death.
It's unknown how long the woman's body was at the location, according to police. Other circumstances surrounding the case remain unclear. Reports indicate the woman might have been struck and then dragged by a vehicle.
The woman's identity is not yet known. Police say she's a white female, possibly in her 30s.
Details on a possible suspect were not immediately released.
An investigation is ongoing.
