Woman Whose Body Was Found Near Vacant School Identified

DETROIT (AP) - A woman whose body was found near a vacant school building on Detroit's west side has been identified.

A spokesman for the Wayne County medical examiner's office says Wednesday that the manner and cause of death for 33-year-old Jessica Bruner of Detroit are pending.

Officer Shanelle Williams, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department, tells The Detroit News that two people were walking through a field close to the building that once housed Gompers Elementary on Tuesday afternoon when they found the body.

Daryl Dorie tells WJBK-TV that he was heading to the store when he came across the body. He says the woman was clothed but had no shoes.
