Woman Steals Field Trip Funds From Redford Elementary School [PHOTO]

REDFORD (WWJ) - Redford Township police are hoping the public can help identify a woman who was caught on camera stealing money collected for an elementary school field trip.

The theft occurred around 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Beech Elementary School on Beech Daly Road and Pembroke Avenue.

According to police, the woman entered the school after classes had ended for the day. She then made her way into an unoccupied classroom and stole an undisclosed amount of cash that was being collected for a student field trip.

Police have not yet indicated how the woman gained entry to the school, but she was captured on security cameras once inside.

The woman is described as Caucasian with long brown hair. She was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with three white skulls on the front.
