Woman Shot While Sleeping Inside Home On Detroit's West Side
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are searching for a gunman after a young woman was shot while sleeping in a home on the city's west side.
The shooting happened sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning at a home on Forrer Street, near Greenfield Road and Schoolcraft Avenue.
The gunman appears to have fired into the home from the outside. An 18-year-old woman who was asleep inside was struck in both legs, but her current condition is not known.

Officers at the scene say this is the second time this house may have been targeted. The first time, someone pounded on the front window, shattering the glass.
At this point, police have not made any arrests.
An investigation is ongoing.
