Woman Sentenced To One Year In Jail For Crash That Killed Four

DETROIT (AP) - A woman who was blamed for a February 2013 crash that killed four women in Southwest Michigan will spend one year in jail.

Police say Ashley Baker of Waterlivet was under the influence of marijuana when she ran a stop sign on icy roads in rural Van Buren county and slammed into the car carrying the four women.

All of the women were members of the nearby Keeler Baptist Church - about 40 miles southwest of Kalamazoo.

The 27-year-old Baker was also sentenced to five-years probation.
