Woman Arrested After Hitting Auburn Hills Officer With Car, Fleeing Scene
AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) -- Auburn Hills police have arrested a 22-year-old woman who struck a police officer with her car and fled the scene early Friday morning.
It happened during a traffic stop at Opdyke and Pontiac Roads at about 2 a.m.
The driver was being arrested when a scuffle broke out. Police say she got away from the officer and climbed into her car, backed up, and hit the officer and his cruiser while fleeing the scene.
The car was located in a nearby parking lot. Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that the 37-year-old officer was treated and released from a local hospital and is in good condition.
