Woman Killed, Struck By University Of Michigan Bus

ANN ARBOR (AP) - Police say a 58-year-old University of Michigan employee who was struck by a bus has died.

The Ann Arbor News reports Nancy Sanders was crossing a street on Thursday morning in Ann Arbor when she was struck by the university bus.

An email sent to her colleagues by Director of University Housing Linda Newman says Sanders was a custodian for the university since 1977, working for several years at West Quad and most recently at Couzens and Alice Lloyd halls. She says it's a "tragic loss."

Lt. Renee Bush says the crash is under investigation.

Police say initial information indicated that Sanders was crossing with the light when she was hit by the bus, but they're still seeking witnesses.
