Woman Killed, Hit By Car On Southfield Rd. In Lincoln Park

LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) - Police are investigating the death of a woman who was hit by an SUV in Lincoln Park.

It happened Tuesday night the victim was walking across Southfield Road at Washington, near Near Riverside Auto Care and I-75, according to police.

It's not clear at this time if the woman or the driver who struck her was at fault. Police said the driver did stop at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The name and age of the woman killed were not immediately released.

This comes after, earlier this week, two men were hit and killed while trying to cross Michigan Avenue in Canton. The driver of that incident fled the scene and police were still looking for him Wednesday.
