Woman Found Dead Behind Closed Detroit School

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are working to identify a woman found dead in Detroit.

Officer Nicole Kirkwood said the body was discovered Tuesday afternoon by two men who were walking behind a closed school at Davison and Patton.

Police haven't released much of a description, saying only that the woman is white, and in her mid 20s to 30s.

The woman's death is being investigated as a homicide as there is evidence of trauma to the body, Kirkwood said. Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine an exact cause of death.
