Woman Dies After Driving SUV Into Building In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police in Detroit are investigating a fatal crash that took place early Friday morning.

A driver crashed her SUV into a building near Livernois at Joy around 2 a.m. New Year's Day. According to reports, the woman died in her vehicle.

Livernois was shut down near Joy for an investigation. It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
