Woman Arrested After Pointing Gun At Boyfriend, 7-Year-Old Daughter

MONROE TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- Reports of arguing and shots fired lead to a barricaded gunman situation and eventually an arrest Friday night in Monroe County.

Sheriff Dale Malone told WWJ Newsradio 950 that a 33-year-old female was taken into custody just after 11 p.m. on Westwood Dr. in Monroe Township.

Investigators say a woman got into an argument with her live-in boyfriend and raised a handgun towards him and their 7-year old daughter.

One shot was fired before the boyfriend took the gun from her.

When deputies got on scene, the gun was still in the woman's hands. It took them several attempts to get her outside. She finally walked out of the house on her own.

The woman faces felonious assault and child endangerment charges.

No one was injured.
