Woman, 84, Dead After Fire Burns Her Cadillac Home

CADILLAC, Mich. (AP) - Northern Michigan authorities say an 84-year-old woman has been found dead inside her burning house.

The Grand Rapids Press says the fire started about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in Cadillac. It says the woman's roommate escaped and went to a hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

Authorities didn't immediately release the dead woman's name, and the cause of the fire wasn't immediately reported.
