Whitmer Announces $500M Initiative To Improve Michigan's Water Infrastructure

(CBS DETROIT) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced a $500 million initiative to improve Michigan's water infrastructure.

At no cost to the state's residents, the funds aim to remove water contaminants and improve sewage systems.

Whitmer also says the initiative will help protect 7500 water-based jobs in Michigan.

This comes six years after the Flint Water Crisis.
