Western Michigan Man Accused Of Shooting, Burying Brother

ALLEGAN, Mich. (AP) — A 25-year-old man has been arraigned on a murder charge, accused of killing and then burying his brother in southwestern Michigan.

The Allegan County sheriff's department says that Malcolm P. Dotson appeared Monday in Allegan District Court. He's charged with an open count of murder and possessing a firearm during a felony.

Dotson's next court date is April 28. It's unknown if he has a lawyer.

MLive.com says a woman reported finding a large amount of blood on a sofa and her son missing.

The sheriff's department says deputies found the body of Damon Sheldon on Friday in a shallow grave near a trailer in Trowbridge Township, south of Allegan.

The department says that during the search, deputies found the suspect sleeping in a different home on the property.
