Don't Forget A Ticket! Wednesday's Powerball Jackpot Grows To Over $300 Million

LANSING (WWJ) - Officials say it's the second biggest Powerball jackpot this year and it could be all yours!

The prize for Wednesday, Sept. 30's Powerball drawing was estimated at $301 million early this morning -- and that figure could grow before the big drawing, which takes place tonight at 10:59 p.m. The cash option is estimated around $191 million.

It's the largest jackpot since February 11.

Jeff Holyfield, with the Michigan Lottery, said the odds of winning are one in 175 million, but it's not impossible. The last big Powerball winner in Michigan was a Lapeer man who won a $337 million jackpot in 2012.
