Wayne County Chooses New Sheriff Replacing Benny Napoleon

(CBS Detroit) - Wayne county has chosen deputy chief Raphael Washington for the sheriff spot.

He served as deputy chief under benny napoleon, who died from covid complications last month.

A 2-to-1 vote approved Washington.

14 candidates originally applied for the sheriff position.
