Water main break under repair in Harper Woods
HARPER WOODS, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - A water main break has occurred in the Wayne County community of Harper Woods, with repairs expected to take much of the morning.
The water main break is in the area of 20020 Kelly Road, at Huntington, the city's Department of Public Works reported. Residents are asked to be aware of a possible loss of water service, move their parked vehicles away from the area, and use caution if driving nearby as there may be barricades.
Repairs were to start around around 8 a.m. Friday and take three to five hours.
"Once water has been restored, please flush your lines until water runs clear," the notice said.
