Water Main Break Closes Road, Schools In Bloomfield Hills

BLOOMFIELD HILLS (WWJ) - A water main break is forcing some Bloomfield Hills schools to cancel classes Tuesday.

Authorities say water from the main is spilling over Lahser Road, between Long Lake and Hickory Grove roads.

Both Bloomfield Hills High School and Model High are closed, but staff is still required to report. Extracurricular activities will be held Tuesday afternoon as scheduled.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area; the best alternates are Telegraph Road and Woodward Avenue.
