Washtenaw County Sheriff To Continue Community Discussions About Hate Crimes, Discrimination
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- As part of an ongoing effort to build stronger relationships and trust with the community, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office has teamed up with the Board of Commissioners and County Administrator, to host open sessions on how to respond to ethnic intimidation.
After a successful opening round of discussions, the Sheriff's Office added an additional date by popular demand.
Washtenaw County sheriff Jerry Clayton will lead the three 40-minute discussions on criminal elements of hate, responding to allegations of discrimination and helping children and teens navigate an intimidating climate.
Classes will be held at the Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence Building on November 21.
