Warren Police Nab Man In Northern Michigan Killing

NESTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police have arrested a 42-year-old man who's accused of fatally shooting a woman and wounding another man in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula.

TV station WNEM says police in the Detroit suburb of Warren spotted the man's car and found him hiding in a nearby house Thursday afternoon.

TV station WWTV says the man will face open murder, attempted murder, home invasion and firearms charges.
The Roscommon County sheriff's department says it found a woman in her 40s dead and a man wounded in Nester Township on Wednesday afternoon. The wounded man was taken to a hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition.

Relatives identify them as Anita Bright and Brian Benmark.

Area residents were told to stay in their homes Wednesday night.
