Warren Police Department Holds 1st Promotions Ceremony Since Before The Pandemic

(CBS DETROIT) - The Warren Police Department held its first promotions ceremony since the pandemic began.

During it, the commissioner had strong words for those wanting to defund the police.

"I know this event is something the families of the officers have looked forward to because all of the officers have worked and studied hard for the promotions exams," Dwyer told the Macomb Daily.

46 officers in total were recognized on July23.

All of them were hired or promoted during the pandemic.
