Victim Stabbed Multiple Times During Argument Dies; Suspect In Custody

WARREN (WWJ) - Authorities say a 23-year-old man is in custody after allegedly stabbing another man so many times, he couldn't survive.

The incident unfolded early Friday morning at a home on Rivard Avenue, in a neighborhood along 8 Mile Road between Van Dyke and Hoover in Warren.

Police tell WWJ the suspect and 27-year-old victim got into an argument before the stabbing. Other circumstances are not yet known.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he later died from multiple wounds. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.

Identities of those involved have not yet been released. Police say the two men do know each other, but the extent of their relationship was not immediately clear.

An investigation is ongoing.
