Vice President Joe Biden To Talk Public Transit Thursday In Detroit

DETROIT (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden plans to talk about public transit during his visit this week to Detroit.

An advisory distributed by the White House says Biden will join Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan on Thursday for an event marking improvements to the Detroit Department of Transportation.

Last week, Biden's wife came to the area with President Barack Obama to press the case for free community college. Jill Biden traveled with Obama to Macomb Community College and they announced an independent College Promise Advisory Board that she will help lead.

Joe Biden is considering a run for president. Complicating his decision are emotional aftershocks from the recent death of his son, Beau, from brain cancer.
