Vice President Joe Biden Speaking At NAACP's Freedom Fund Dinner Event

DETROIT (WWJ) - U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will be the keynote speaker of the NAACP Detroit Chapter's freedom fund dinner at Cobo Center Sunday night.

The 60th annual Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner is considered the largest annual event of its kind in the world.

The theme this year is Celebrating Freedom: Measured by Practice, Treasured by Sacrifice.

US Congressman John Conyers, of Detroit will get the organization's lifetime achievement award.

About 5,000 people are expected to attend.
