Usher Can't Let Go in New Single 'Crash'

By Amanda Wicks

Usher has released a new single "Crash."

The emotionally-driven song is a return to form for Usher, who rose to fame on his carefully crafted and sensual R&B ballads.

The song has a moodier feel thanks to gritty synths and a steady but structured beat. "Crash" deals with a relationship gone off the rails, but one that's made it hard for Usher to let go. "Would you mind if I still love you?/ Would you mind if things don't last?/ Would you mind if I hold on to/ You so that I won't crash?" he sings on the chorus.

In the meantime, Usher is hard at work getting ready to release his eighth studio album. He hasn't shared a title or release date yet.
