Update: United Resumes Flight Operations Nationwide

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - United Airlines has lifted a system-wide grounding of flights Wednesday after dealing with a "connectivity issue."

The FAA confirmed that after grounding flights for over an hour, the issue was resolved.

United Airlines released a statement by Twitter acknowledging the issue:

According to Detroit Metropolitan Airport's website United's next departure, a 10:25 a.m. flight to Washington Dulles, is still scheduled for an on time departure.

Travelers, and those expecting passengers flying on United flights, should check with the airline about the status of their flights.

CBS Detroit will update the story as more information becomes available.

This story was updated at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday.
